As part of the 'Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, a series of events are being organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Through this MyGov activity, we aim to revisit history and acknowledge our local heroes whose struggles during the Freedom Movement have not received prominence in the conventional storyline. Let's raise awareness about our freedom struggle & the unsung heroes associated with it. It’s time that the contributions of fighters like Veer Gundandhur, Velu Nachiyar, Bhikaji Cama, etc. see the light of the day.

This is your chance to tell the story that must be told and honour the freedom fighters who have played an important role in making our nation free.

On a historical date 15/8/2022, we are celebrating 75 years of Independence.This golden moment is celebrated as “AZAD KI AMRIT MAHOSTAV” . There are so many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives to attain freedom for our country. But, there are some brave hearts did not get enough recognition for their struggle. One of such prominent personality was Sri UYALAVAD ANARASIMHA REDDY. Sri UYALAVAD ANARASIMHA REDDY was born at Rupanagudi village on 24 November 1806. His parents were Mallareddy and Seethamma.

Sri Malireddy Srisailam Reddy is born in 1919 in a small village named Lingavaram near Gudivada Krishna Dist Andhrapradesh.
He was inspired by Mahatma Gandhiji and Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu garu.
Though he believed in Non violence he had a special place in his heart for Sri Subhas chandra Bose ji.
He named his nephew(my father) as Subhas Chandra Bose Reddy.
He was an active member of Indian National congress. He was very close to Prakasam Pantulu garu, Potti Sriramulu garu , Rajaji and few other National congress leaders.
He had his special team for making action plans to fight wit Britishers. He was arrested and sent to jail many times.
He was comitted to Nation. A n Icon with high values my grand father Srisailam reddy is an inspirationto many till date.
We are proud and blessed to be his family members.
